Common Collision Questions and Information You Should Know
What are my rights?
By law you have the right to have your vehicle repaired at the shop of your choice, although some insurance companies will “suggest” where you should have your vehicle repaired. The insurance company may even tell you they will not warranty the work at shops other than their suggested shops. In fact, body shop carries its own warranty on the repairs. Here at Titus-Will Collision Center we have a lifetime warranty.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday thru Friday from 7:30am to 6pm.
Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?
Yes. We offer a limited lifetime warranty on all repairs and paint work for as long as you own your vehicle. All parts used in repairs have their own warranty through the manufacturer of the part. Warranty is non-transferable.
How long will my repairs take?
Each vehicle has different circumstances that determine the total time needed to repair the vehicle. The staff at Titus-Will Collision Center wants to return your vehicle to you as soon as possible in pre-accident condition without compromising the quality of the repair.
What is the difference between Insured and Claimant?
“Insured” means you are going through your own insurance company to have your vehicle repaired. The policy you chose determines the rules of repairs for your vehicle and the amount of your deductible. “Claimant” means someone else’s insurance company pays to repairs your vehicle. As the claimant you have no deductible to pay and transportation is provided free of charge.
Do I have to pay a deductible?
If you are the insured, the deductible amount is decided by your insurance policy and due at the time of pick up.
What is a betterment?
A betterment is a “wearable” part, that is any part that breaks down under normal driving conditions such as tires on your vehicle.
How do I know if I can get a rental car?
As the insured you have the choice of rental car coverage when choosing your policy. Your policy may limit you to a total dollar amount, the amount of days, or complete coverage. However, as the claimant you are provided alternate transportation free of charge. Be advised that Titus-Will Collision Center does not cover rental fees.
What is supplemental damage?
If hidden damage is discovered, additional parts and / or repairs are needed to complete the repairs on your vehicle. This is commonly referred to as supplemental damage. Titus-Will Collision Center will deal directly with the insurance company handling the claim on any additional cost. If it is a customer pay job, we will contact you directly before any repairs are done to your vehicle.
Can you match the color of my paint?
Yes. It is true that every color is slightly different, even a new vehicle requires color tinting to achieve a blendable color match. However, we do have the very best paint system to ensure that every vehicle is painted at the highest quality. Our paint department was our largest investment in our new shop and we take pride in our work.
What if I have had previous repairs to my vehicle?
If your vehicle was previously repaired in the same area currently being repaired, it is often necessary to do additional repairs to guarantee our work. Also, sometimes it may be necessary to have you pay for repairs of damage not related to the accident (for example bug damage on a hood or a door dings) if this damage is in areas that requires to refinishing work.
Can I wash my vehicle after the repairs are completed?
